Tomorrow is another part of history. The Arroyo government will officially end. The Philippines first bachelor President Noynoy Aquino will take oath as our new leader after winning in the first automated election in the country.

We are all looking forward to PNoy on how will he battle and curb corruption. His advocacy is very tough. I hope he succeeds against the corrupt and this will only be possible if every citizen in this country join forces in this fight.  We also need the help of  our lawmakers to mold a strong and effective law to fight red tape in the government and for the law enforcers to impose it. Our local officials should also serve as the role model against corruption (this I think is very hard for them!).

I look up to the People’s Republic of China in the implementation of their rules and regulations. They apprehend their local officials guilty of graft - the worst punishment is death. Their justice system is working. That’s how serious they are in fighting corruption.

Like China, I believe we can do it. It is all will power to walk in the path of righteousness and it’s never too late for the Philippines to soar high in the Asian region or the world.

Tomorrow is the start of the battle.

The heat of the sun is scorching me and temperature continues to rise that it made me want to jump in a pool of ice. But did you know that the intense heat we are experiencing now may even become worse? According to weather reports, the rise in temperature may reach 40 degrees Celsius. Whoa! That’s really sizzling! The hottest temperature recorded recently was 36.4 degrees Celsius in General Santos City (OMG! I only experienced 34 degrees Celsius last week).

Sadly, even water supply is slowly becoming scarce because of the El Niño phenomenon. As a matter of fact, state of calamity was declared in some provinces where water source like rivers, ponds and lakes dried out.

Drought causes farming, livestock, fishing even the power industry to die and economy to slow down. It also causes health problems and diseases to animals and humans.

This extremely hot weather creates a domino effect in our lives and this should serve as a lesson for us to give importance to every drops of water we have because it is very essential to our life and living.

Even though the authorities advised Team Pacquiao to postpone their homecoming today because of the AH1N1 flu scare, Pacman still decided to come back to the Philippines as scheduled. Before their flight home, Pacman assured that his team is willing to undergo precautionary measures implemented by the airport authorities in line with detecting airline passengers with flu symptoms. Thanks to them and shame to some politicians who watched Pacquiao-Hatton bout in Las Vegas but are not willing to isolate themselves even for a while.
The government did not pursue the grand welcome for Manny Pacquiao, but still, Team Pacquiao had a short motorcade in some parts of Manila.
And people seemed to be not bothered by the Influenza A flu, because they still flocked Pacquiao when he arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Though Team Pacquiao is not yet an AH1N1 virus carrier, we should take into account that they came from a place with positive cases of the disease.
We should remember that the AH1N1 flu infection is a serious matter but sadly, some Pinoys don’t take it seriously.

Is H1N1 flu virus now in Cebu?

That is the big question after three persons - a Cebuano couple and a British woman, were reported quarantined in Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for possible H1N1 flu infection.

I hope their test results would turn out negative for the H1N1 virus.

God please spare the Philippines from that deadly disease and save the lives of every persons who have it.

Geez, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that the Superlotto 6/49 jackpot prize is expected to reach up to P330 million on Sunday because nobody won the P288 million on the Thursday draw.

I know, many Pinoys are overwhelmed about the news and they’re getting gaga over the huge amount of money up for grab. You can see the pile of bettors in every lotto outlets for Sunday draw.

Well, in this hard time, we cannot blame people who try their luck and gamble their P20 for a lotto ticket instead for food.

Let’s just hope that nobody manipulates the result.

Just a common question: What will you do if you won the P330 million jackpot?

Blog Pictures | acobox.comThe world is patiently waiting for Barack Obama oath taking tomorrow. Barack is the first black American who was elected as the President of the United States of America.

Before the most-awaited event, music legends sang with the US FirstFamily in front of hundreds of thousands of people at Washington’s Lincoln Memorial.

Aside from that, our very own Ms Charice Pempengco also performed in the Obama pre-inaugural ball. I’ve seen a lot of blog pictures of Pempengco while singing her piece. It is a very memorable experience for Charice.

This shot was taken during the actual procession of the Black Nazarene from Luneta Grandstand to Quiapo Church last January 9, 2009. According to reports, three million devotees attended the vigil, procession and whole day mass.
The feast of the Black Nazarene is the biggest and most celebrated religious event (aside of course from Christmas) in the Philippines.

As planned, I went to Quiapo Church after work to attend mass. Hubby and I met after. He was in the church from 12 noon till 10 in the evening to witness the procession. Here are some snapshots I took during the feast.
