Archive for the ‘career’ CategoryThere are still more things to do…those left unfinished and waiting to be taken time. Hopefully after this stressful week, I’d be able to attend to those important matters…and yes, time for my loved ones. I have sacrificed this whole week to make a dream happen and I made it. I just need to jump on some little hurdles and I will with all might just to reach the finish line. Bagging two jobs at the same time is really pure luck but I need to pick only one of it to achieve another goal. I hope the last step won’t be too hard for me to let go of a valuable experience again. These people are too good to me. They are very supportive and I learned a lot from them in this endeavor and I think they will understand and support my decision to leave as soon as possible. Some good things never lasts they say but memories will always linger. I know how hard the effect of recession in the economy, the unemployment rate surge - many lose their job and the newly graduate hardly finds a position that suits their educational background. I’m glad we still have a regular work to support our living, despite of the economic crunch. But frankly, having one job is not enough for a small family (unless if that job is a high-paying one). And to be able to cope with the daily needs, we really need to have sidelines. I cannot rely on blogging for an extra income, its hard to maintain a good pagerank while doing paid post plus the fact that I’m not really good on the technical side. Now I’m looking for other online jobs that I can do at home after my regular work. A workmate invited me to try ODesk, I hope it works for me.
A nurse should look clean and presentable while on duty for it also helps their patient to have a positive outlook while battling with ailments. As a registered nurse, my sister Katherine sees to it that she is not only able to take care of other people, especially her patients but also herself. However toxic her work can be, she always look fresh because of the make-up she wears while on duty. Oftentimes, sister and her fellow nurses exchange make-up kits and paraphernalia because most of them use to experiment on make-up brands to know what is good for them. That is why, when I learn about Scrubs in the internet and read about their posts regarding their advice on best make-up for nurses, I did not hesitate to share it to my sister. Scrubs is an online magazine that tackles information relevant to a nurses’ needs. This summer season it tackles not only about medical issues but also fashion and beauty reviews for nurses. When my sister visited and read the contents of Scrubs, she made it a point to bookmark it. Now, she does not only share medical reports nor make-up kits with her fellow nurses, they are now conversing about the hottest issues on Scrubs.
Today, I filed my official leave form. It is effective on Monday, April 20. I tried to finish cleaning my desktop, my office documents and cabinet too. Maternity leave is lengthy but I guess it is still not enough when the baby comes. After seven years of working, I realized I’m gonna miss these people I’ve worked with, my old desktop, paper works and all, but this time, family should come first. So this is goodbye… for a while. After enjoying two months work with day-off, the management suddenly decided to take off our rest day. This is really a sad news for me. Though it will help a little to boost my salary but I agree family time is far more important than money. I need to to talk to my boss about my day-off because I really want to take a rest considering my situation. Besides, I am working at home too even on a rest day. Hope to receive a full consideration about this. Most employees wanted to have a good job with a good pay. Yes, there are a lot of jobs available in the market but do you know which jobs offers good pay? I know you’re interested to know about it, especially those who’re about to graduate this school year and is still on the verge of choosing what course will they take in college in preparation for their professional careers. |
