The Department of Health (DOH) announced yesterday about the first death case in connection with the pandemic influenza A(H1N1) virus infection in the country.

Only days after the 49 years old woman victim died, health authorities found her  positive with the virus when her relatives confirmed that she suffered from some flu-like symptoms before passing away.

On the other hand, the DOH told that the death of the woman was due to complications of her pre-existing medical condition and the A(H1N1) virus made her body weaker to fight her diseases.
