A lot of family-oriented films are shown in movie houses that depict typical family life but All Roads Lead Home The Movie has a big impact on me.
The character of Belle resembles my adolescence. Though my mother did not die, I grew up with my grandparents, far away from my biological family when my parents separated for a couple of years. I am not exactly rebellious but deep inside, anger and emptiness built a hole in my heart.
I always think why I cannot live with my parents and with my other siblings? That experience was really difficult for me during my adolescence where I need the love, comfort and guidance of my parents. But I am glad, because my grandparents took care of me until my parents reconciled. They were a blessing because I learned the value of family relations and I realized that I should be grateful because someone took care of me unlike those abandoned and unfortunate children in the boy or girl’s town.
Because of my grandparents, I studied harder. I do not want to spoil their love for me for molding me to become a good human being. And I really thanked them for that.
